Primary Function:
Responsible for overseeing City Power’s environmental performance through the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of environmental strategies promoting sustainable development within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reduce environmental impacts and increase operating efficiency
  • Oversee delivery of reduction strategies
  • Implement, facilitate, and monitor environmental programs
  • Conduct regular environmental audits
  • Develop Environmental Impact/Aspects assessments
  • Generate reports and maintain permits as per regulations
  • Manage and review policy, framework, procedures, standards, and protocols
  • Conduct environmental research and prepare reports for management

Appointment Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Analytical Chemistry/ Laboratory Management or equivalent
  • 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity

Primary Function:
To manage overall operation of Laboratory activities for testing and providing analytical diagnostics of transformer insulation (oil and paper) for internal and external customers. Minimize life cycle costs of assets while delivering established service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure analytical activities meet laboratory, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Implement new programs, tests, methods, and procedures
  • Establish laboratory policies and procedures; develop quality assurance procedures
  • Develop and implement new test concepts to reduce testing times
  • Complete operational requirements, scheduling work, and setting priorities
  • Interpret test results and recommend actions
  • Maintain laboratory information system and ensure compliance with security and confidentiality

Senior Manager Asset Management

Appointment Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field from accredited university or college
  • 7 years’ relevant experience in Finance, with 3 years in asset management field at Supervisory/Management level
  • BCOM in Finance/Accounting degree advantageous

Primary Function:
Responsible for end-to-end integrity, compliance, reporting, and planning processes associated with City Power Asset Management. Support Executive leadership through understanding of Accounting Standards and maintaining accurate Fixed Asset Register.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document Capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, report financial performance within approved budget limits
  • Manage Capitalization process for completed projects, create assets based on approved project structure
  • Develop measures and analytical tools to report on capital budget performance
  • Maintain and update Fixed Asset Register in system per GRAP Standards and Policy
  • Implement procedures to monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, impairments, disposals
  • Prepare and submit forecast of divisional budgets
  • Participate in Finance strategy, plans, and budgets formulation
  • Manage key performance indicators against departmental strategic plans outcomes
  • Input into annual business plan of asset management and capital budget information
  • Initiate strategies for professional and customer-centric behavior, continuous improvement
  • Oversee processes related to tracking, controlling, disposal of fixed assets, ensure capitalization procedures followed
  • Establish and maintain records, procedures for accountability of property, plant, equipment inventory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate Legal Services strategy, plans, and budgets
