The Johannesburg Metrobus has the following vacancies:
OFFICER – BOARD COMMITTEES
Position: Officer: Board Committees (x1)
Salary Grade: C3
Department: Legal Counsel & Company Secretary (COSEC)
Location: Metrobus – Head Office
Purpose:
To oversee all company secretarial work of the entity, managing the day-to-day administration of the board and board committees, and assisting the Executive Legal Counsel & Company Secretary with company secretarial tasks.
Essential Requirements:
- 3-year relevant Degree in Legal or Public Administration
- LB or B. Admin (Law) preferred
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in a company secretarial environment, with at least 4 years in a committee officer or governance officer role, preferably in the public sector
Key Performance Areas:
- Board and Committee administration
- Coordination of other committee meetings
- CIPC Updates
- Compliance with regulatory framework
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
- Minute compilation at high-level meetings
- Strong communication skills
- Self-directed, motivated, and able to multitask
- Proficient in report writing, document filing, and management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer usage skills (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Thorough understanding of legal requirements governing Metrobus, including Company Law and Corporate Governance principles
- Office project management skills
- Knowledge of the Companies Act and company secretarial best practices
