Human Resources Specialist

Commencement Date for Post: As soon as possible

Full-time/Part-time/Contract: Permanent

Summary:
The Human Resources Specialist at FASSET coordinates HR business partnering functions including Recruitment and Selection, Employment Equity, Labour Relations, Employee Performance Management, HR Administration, Remuneration and Benefits, Training and Development, and Conditions of Service.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate Recruitment and Selection processes.
  • Facilitate Employee Performance Management.
  • Manage Labour Relations including discipline, grievances, and dismissals.
  • Provide secretariat duties to management committees.
  • Implement Employment Equity Plan.
  • Coordinate Training and Development initiatives.
  • Monitor HR budget and procurement processes.
  • Implement Remuneration Policy and Benefits.
  • Contribute to HR Policy development and review.
  • Supervise HR Administrators, Interns, and Learners.

Required Qualification:

  • Grade 12/Matric.
  • National Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent at NQF level 6.
  • NQF level 7 qualification and Post Graduate Qualification at NQF Level 8 preferred.

Required Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in HR Management.
  • 1 year experience on SAGE People System preferred.
  • SABPP or IPM registration preferred.
  • Experience in the Public Sector preferred.

Competencies Required:

  • Excellent command of English.
  • Strong administration ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of confidentiality and organizational skills.

Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
  • Understanding of HR Policies and Processes.
  • Familiarity with Public Sector reporting protocol.

Commencement Date: FASSET requires applications for a permanent Human Resources Specialist to join the existing team as soon as possible.

Assessment: Applicants may be required to undergo a competency assessment.
