The Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA) has the following vacancies:

HR Intern

Location: Gauteng
Assignment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (24 Months)
Monthly Stipend: R 7,000.00

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Psychology, or similar field with a minimum aggregate of 65%.
  • Computer literate.
  • No work experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license (an added advantage).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Human Resources team with administration across the HR value chain.
  • Coordinate all recruitment administration activities.
  • Coordinate the induction process for new employees.
  • Assist with monitoring monthly demographics, leave, age, terminations analysis, and report trends.
  • Arrange meetings with medical aid and pension/provident fund brokers as required.
  • Assist with coordination of the performance management process and staff training.
  • Assist with organizing the annual Employee Wellness Day events.
  • Provide input into the internal communications plan and approach for the year.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Recently graduated with no work experience.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Systematic and thorough approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong computer and innovative skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize across multiple projects and social media platforms.
  • Ability to write for public consumption.
  • Willingness and ability to work in teams and be a self-starter.
