Description:
The University of the Free State is hiring Audio Visual Technical Support Engineers to provide technical support for hardware and software, install audiovisual technologies, and ensure client satisfaction. Applications must be submitted online through the official UFS vacancy website.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software.
  • Install and deploy audio visual technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software related incidents.
  • Provide audio visual and streaming support for events.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by adhering to SLA’s.
  • Contribute to the review and drafting of relevant SOPs.
  • Fulfil responsibilities regarding performance management.
  • Stay current through professional development activities.

Inherent Requirements:

  • National vocational certificate on NQF Level 4.
  • Minimum one (1) year’s relevant working experience at the University of the Free State.

Recommendations:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Professional certification in relevant areas such as Comptia A+, Comptia N+, Crestron certification, etc.

Description:
The University of the Free State seeks candidates for positions in the Department of Industrial Psychology. Candidates will teach Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students, conduct high-quality research, provide supervision to postgraduate students, and contribute to departmental and faculty strategic plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management modules.
  • Conduct high-quality research and publish in accredited journals.
  • Supervise postgraduate students and interns.
  • Provide leadership in pursuit of department and faculty strategic plans.
  • Perform academic administration tasks.
  • Serve as a member of various academic committees.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with relevant organizations.

Inherent Requirements:

  • For Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor positions: Relevant Doctoral degree on NQF Level 10 in Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management.
  • Proven record of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience in supervising to completion of Master’s, PhD students, and industrial psychology interns.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies.
  • Proven research record and experience in presenting at conferences.

Recommendations:

  • Lecturing experience in Higher Education.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and data analysis.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Evidence of application for funding in research projects.
